Welcome to our fun and active group!
Whether you are new to Chicago or have lived here for a while, becoming a member of this group will give you the opportunity to explore the Chicago area in ways that typical residents might not. It’s like being a tourist in your own city as we uncover hidden gems and unique experiences.
While it may take time to see all the amazing things Chicago has to offer, we will do our best to experience as much as we can each year.
Our goal is to create a club filled with enjoyable events, allowing you to meet new people while participating in diverse outings all over Chicagoland. This will be a year-round group, as winter will not slow us down!
Annual dues are $12 per member. You will enjoy a 90-day free trial to see if you like the group! If you decide to become an event host, your annual dues will be waived. We are an extremely active and social group with a wide range of activities throughout Chicago.
Most of our events take place in Chicago or nearby suburbs such as Evanston, Oak Park, and Park Ridge. All events are accessible by public transportation, which is why we primarily focus on Chicago.
Please note that we have a firm "three strikes, no-show" policy. If you do not show up for an event without updating your RSVP, you will earn a strike. After three strikes, you will be suspended for three months. We are not trying to be disciplinarians; we just want to keep things fair and fun for all our members.
If you have any questions about the group, suggestions for events, or would like to lead an outing, please let me know. Those who host an event will have their annual dues waived.
We also have a sister group, Exploring Chicago with Friends, and we will be organizing many joint events together.
