What we’re about
We are a 20's and 30's group based roughly out of the New Haven Area. We schedule events all around Connecticut! We strive to bring people together to form friendships and connections; all while supporting local businesses. Our events consist of breweries, outdoors events, restaurants, and everything in between! Hope to see you at our events soon!
Join our new Discord Group for virtual gaming events!
We will never solicit our events to you. If you receive unwelcomed messages, please let Joe or another organizer know.

See all- Touring the Yale Center for British Art [FREE!]Yale Center for British Art, New Haven, CT
Hey everyone! Our visits to the Yale Art Gallery have been an enjoyable time for everyone who comes. However, one of their centers, the Yale Center for British Art, has recently reopened last month after years of renovations.
Located just across the street from the Art Gallery, the British Art Center seems to have a very similar touring program. So, it should be completely free and open to the public; thus, we won't have to worry about any fees beyond parking.
I was able to set up a guided tour for our group at 1:00 PM so we can have someone knowledgeable explain much of the art we will see while there. I believe the guided tour should last a full hour in total, like at the Yale Art Gallery. Afterward, if that's the case, we can walk to a nearby cafe to continue our conversations over some coffee/tea (as many groups had liked to do previously), or simply call it a day then and there (as others have done too).
The Center did not mention a hard maximum for their guided groups consisting of only adults. Even so, I decided to keep our registered tour to a max of 16 attendees since that seems to be a good number for an event of this kind. So please only RSVP if you want to go and have a good idea that you can make it that day and time! If plans change on your end, please be sure to update your RSVP so anyone on the waitlist can be notified of their spot on the "go-list" promptly. (Thank you in advance!)
I'll be at the museum lobby (near the front desk) by 12:30 PM or earlier to help get our group together in time for the guided tour. I'll likely to be within eyesight of the main entrance/desk, so we can more easily find each other before the tour starts by 1:00 PM.
----------
Once we're done with the museum, we can walk to a nearby coffee shop or restaurant for a late afternoon tea & coffee or snack---and there are many such places within walking distance of the museum that are also affordable! Of course, you're free to leave whenever you want or need to during this event. (So, if you'd like to leave after the museum tour, you don't have to stick around once it's finished.)
----------
Location Information: The Yale Center for British Art is located at 1080 Chapel Street, New Haven, between High and York Streets. The main entrance is on the southwest corner of Chapel and High Streets.
----------
Regarding parking, here's what they say on their website:
"Visitors may park in the LAZ lot at 161 York Street (behind the museum) or the LAZ garage at 150 York Street. Additional parking is available in other area lots and metered spaces on the street around the museum."
----------
FYI: NO FOOD OR DRINK ALLOWED IN THE MUSEUM, so please don't come to the museum with them. Also, anyone with large coats, bags, backpacks, and large items in general will be asked to store them in the public lockers they have on the Lower Level, where such items can be stored for free during our tour.

I hope to see you there! :-)Yale Center for British Art webpage: https://britishart.yale.edu/
