Looking to make some real friends, and not just acquaintances made thru existing large groups? Are you retired, an empty nester, newly divorced, new to this area, just transferred to CA, or someone just looking for new friends to do fun stuff with…….then this is your 50+ girls group to join. We’re looking for “no drama” girls that are interested in having lots of fun, while making new friends. So bring your happy attitude and respect for others.
Our group will be limited to just 50 (Covid-19 vaccinated, plus two boosters, plus the Omicron and Fall 2023 booster) girls, so we can really make connections with all the members. Events and gatherings will mostly be held in southern Orange County locations (all Lagunas, Irvine, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Dana Point, Tustin, Newport Beach, Rancho Mission Viejo, etc.). Events will include brunches, lunches, dinners, happy hour deals, gift exchanges, holiday parties, coffee/discussions, and current Orange County cultural events unless we find a worthy “road trip” out of our area.
Please note: Most of our events are limited to “safer” outdoor and restaurant patio scenarios, but as we approach the beginning of our second year movies and indoor events will increase. We just want everyone to be comfortable attending events.
Because of our limited number, members will be requested to attend at least three events per quarter to maintain membership, so we can maximize participation at planned events. There will always be exceptions, but please do not join if you do not plan on attending our functions.
Event cancellations should be made a minimum of 72 hours in advance if possible. Event organizers put lots of effort into planning their gatherings, and they deserve enough time to adjust their final attendance numbers and arrangements. Two no-shows to events without notice will result in being deleted from the group. Again.......every member must attend a minimum of three events per quarter.
To cover our national Meetup group charges of about $400 yearly, 2025 dues will be $20 per member. Dues per member will cover all event supplies plus Meetup dues. They are payable to Jan in cash. We will begin collecting 2025 dues January 1st, and will be due annually by March 31st.
