Welcome to Alexandria Happy Hour Meetup Group!
The happy hour tradition is alive and well in Alexandria! Alexandria Happy Hour Meetup Group is intended to be an apolitical, non-partisan, social group bringing together people from all walks of life, varied backgrounds, and the full range of beliefs. You can count on us meeting regularly for happy hours, as well as hosting other fun events in Old Town Alexandria and the DC-NoVA area! We're open to suggestions for any social event that you'd like to see/do in the area. Some past meetup activities: Nationals games, bar crawls, music festivals, outdoor movies, wine and beer tasting events, comedy clubs, etc.!! Let's make this town our own!
Alexandria Happy Hour Meetup Group is a not for profit organization. Alexandria Happy Hour Meetup Group is not intended to be a forum for any member to advertise, solicit, or promote a business or service for commercial or professional gain.
Additionally, Alexandria Happy Hour Meetup Group's core values are to foster a social environment that is both discrimination-free and harassment-free. This is not an online dating site! If you receive an email from a group member or are involved in an interaction at a one of our events that makes you feel uncomfortable or unwelcome, please make sure you tell the event host, a member of the group's leadership team, and/or email the group organizer directly. We do not tolerate that kind of behavior in this group. The first offense is a warning; the second offense results in removal from the group. This policy applies equally to both men and women. Please remember to treat each other with courtesy and respect.
We, the organizers, do not collect any fees for membership. Additionally, we do not charge admission/cover charge for our events. However, some events (i.e. Nationals games, events sponsored/held by a third party, etc.) may require paid admission that is collected by a third party not associated with Alexandria Happy Hour Meetup Group. Alexandria Happy Hour Meetup Group has in the past and will continue in the future to support fundraising events for charitable organizations. However, any cash or tangible item requested for such events is strictly a VOLUNTARY donation…not mandatory.
So, to join our merry band, please answer the (brief) profile questions and post a picture to help us (and other members!) recognize and greet you at events! Thank you & we look forward to seeing you at the next event!
