This will be a shuttled hike. We will meet in the lower parking lot of the Bells Gap rail trail. Then shuttle to the top and walk back. The hike will be flat and downhill. No up hills. It's approximately 6 miles in length.

Camping, kayaking, and Hiking
We will camp at the Mapleton camp grounds. It is a primitive camp ground. But I have a trailer across the road so we will have water available .
Friday night a short hike.
Saturday we will kayak. Around 12 miles
Sunday a 6 mile hike. Along the Rocky Ridge section of the Standing Stone Trail. The wildflowers should be in bloom. There are lots of ladyslippers along this path.

The Mapleton Campground has a donation box for camping.

****Come join us for a weekend full of camping, adventures, laughter and fun. Once again, the Southern PA Outdoor Clan has invited us to join them in their annual group camping weekend to be held June, 13th - june 15th at Artillery Ridge Campground and Horse Park, Taneytown Road, Gettysburg Pa. Cost will be $8.00 per person/per night for tent camping in the Cedar Grove section of the campground. Bathhouse is located directly across the road. If you don’t care to tent camp, and want to reserve other accommodations please contact the campground directly. There are cabins located close to the tent area.

Let’s make this event a weekend to remember. Sign up early! Activities are still in the planning stage and will be based on attendance. If anyone wants to join us just for the day for any of the planned activities, that would be okay also. Can’t wait for the fun adventures to start! See you there!
