What we’re about
Amber Valley Friends was previously known as Belper Friends, but as we just couldn't contain the fun to within the boundaries of Belper we had to rename!
The aim of AVF is to provide people with opportunities to meet new people, make new friends and try new things, all within a safe and friendly environment.
We aim to make sure that people new to our events are made to feel welcome. Everyone attended a first event at some point and so remember how daunting it can be. With that in mind, our event organisers look out for people for whom it will be their first event, and aim to put them at ease. Please ensure you have your real first name and a clear photo to help the hosts greet you at events.
The group is run for you, by you, so if you have any suggestions for events you would like to see happen then please contact one of the organizers as they will be happy to help.
Membership of AVF is free, but on occasion we may ask for a voluntary donation at some events to help cover the costs of running the group, site fees etc. This is a voluntary donation, so please only give what you are happy to.
