What we’re about
Welcome to the AMC - Delaware Valley Chapter Meetup site. The AMC is the Northeast's oldest outdoors club and one of its most respected. The AMC is built on the pillars of conservation, outdoors education and in getting people outdoors. Our "About" page provides more information about the AMC and our Chapter. We ask that when you join you submit a photo and tell us a little about yourself. It's not mandatory that you provide this information but it's useful to many members who want to meet people with similar interests.
Our activity leaders are experienced outdoors people who volunteer their time and expertise. All leaders receive training in activity and risk management prior to leading Chapter activities. Safety is always our number one concern. We recognize that hiking and our other activities involve elements of risk that cannot be avoided. Participants must accept the risk and take responsibility for their own safety.
NOTE: Some activities may require that you also register on the club Activities Database electronic registration system. In that case, follow the trip leaders link to register.
