Awakening Spirits

A single light shines through the darkness. It brings comfort and for some it brings the possibility of magick. It holds the power of wishes to be made and realized. This is the simplicity of candle magick. No matter how we practice, we are all drawn to the flame.

When we practice magick, we must add some science to the mix.
Magick cannot stand alone. In this class, you will learn about candle burn times and which candle best fits the type of spell you are trying to cast.

You will also learn new and unique ways on how to dress candles and how to load candles for a more potent magick punch.

You will be making (2) candles to bring home: A rolled beeswax candle as well as a loaded votive!

About our instructor: Tammy started her journey in the Wiccan faith over 30 years ago, first as a solitary and eclectic witch and then joining the Black Forest Clan Circle and Seminary. She holds the titles of Third-Degree High Priestess and Reverend.
Tammy runs a teaching coven in the Worcester, MA area and has been teaching Wicca studies in various New Age stores for about 10 years.

Come join Mary and learn how to play the big drums!

This is a 4-day class which is $15 per class; $60 for the series; with the full amount to be paid on class one with cash only please

For the first class you will learn basic hand drumming techniques and drum maintenance. (Wed Oct 16th)

For the second class you will learn how to hear the rhythm in a drum circle and freestyle on your drum as a group.

(Wed Oct 30th)
For the third class you will learn to play the most common rhythm in most drum circles, a Nigerian song called Funga.
(Wed Nov 6th)

For the fourth class you will learn both parts of a song called Boulacoulenge, using two of the most commonly known passport rhythms simultaneously. (Wed Nov 20th)

Mary Cote Diaz has studied West African drumming since 2011 from various American teachers. She facilitated the Worcester Community Drum Circle for 3 and a half years. She used to build and sell djembes of different sizes with personalized wood burned artwork. She has participated in the Eastern Mass Rhythmn Festival since 2011. She also led a West African style drum troupe called the Djembeliyas.

• Part 3: The Betrayal: Survivors break into groups of good and evil and fight to stay alive
• Part 4: The Stand: The final episode, which features the confrontation between the two figures representing good and evil
