### 36th Annual Nevada Day Classic

Thirty-six years running!! We are excited and thankful, as always, to put on one of our signature races and be part of the Nevada Day weekend!

This is a classic road course through the streets of west Carson City. Costumes are HIGHLY encouraged!

An annual event since 1989, the Nevada Day Classic is an 8K run and a 2-mile run/walk that kicks off Nevada Day and sends runners/walkers through the beautiful, historic West Side of Carson City. All runners of all distances will receive a custom wooden medal!

The Nevada Day Classic is organized by the Tahoe Mountain Milers in partnership with Guide Dog for the Blind, Kaia Fit, Tangerine Design & Web, and Lynn Mentzer Timing. All net proceeds will go to Guide Dogs For The Blind.

Registration is open at both packet pick up and on race day. There will be NO CASH TRANSACTIONS for registrations at either packet pick up or on race day. WE WILL BE PROCESSING CREDIT/DEBIT CARD PAYMENTS ONLY.

Saturday, November 1st
Start/Finish Line and Race Day Packet Pickup and Registration at McFadden Square at Curry Street. Information regarding each is as follows:

Packet/Bib Pickup and Race Day Registration
Starts at 6:45am and will end 10 minutes prior to start of the race

Race start times
8K at 8:00am
2 Mile at 8:10am

We are doing a staggered start to lessen the congestion at the start of the race and possible confusion where the courses split. Please note: The start/finish lines are now on Curry Street at McFadden Square. WE CAN NO LONGER BE ON CARSON STREET WHATSOEVER! ALSO, DOGS ON COURSE ARE NOT PART OF OUR PERMIT, SO PLEASE LEAVE OUR FURRY LOVED ONES AT HOME FOR THIS EVENT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING.

Set in a small village in rural Russia, Fiddler on the Roof tells the story of Tevye, the guide and narrator, who has five daughters refusing to follow the Jewish customs of matchmakers choosing their husbands. Three of them defy his expectations by falling in love with unsuitable men, one of whom is not a Jew. Due to the existing anti-Jewish demonstrations and sentiments within their community, Tevye's family is forced to leave. Throughout the story, Tevye reflects on his faith and struggles to reconcile it with the societal changes surrounding him.

I DON'T KNOW IF ANYONE ELSE FROM THE C.C. SOCIALIZER GROUP WOULD BE INTERESTED IN JOINING US. THERE AREN'T THAT MANY GOOD SEATS LEFT. ALL IN THE BACK THIRD OF THE C.C. COMMUNITY CENTER, ON THE OUTER THIRD OF THE SIDE AISLES OR VERY BACK ROW CENTER. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO MAKE AN INVITE ON MEETUP, SO IF YOU THINK ANY OTHER MEMBERS WOULD BE INTERESTED IN JOINING US, THAT WOULD BE GREAT.
