Charlotte Mecklenburg Library Meetup

Life Story Club is a new library program designed to bring people together through the simple act of sharing stories. Each session, a staff facilitator will guide the group with a conversation prompt—something like "Tell us about a time you laughed super hard," or, "Tell us about your favorite family tradition." You are sure to be surprised and delighted by some of the stories you will hear, and get to know some funny, compassionate, and caring people! By sharing our stories, we can create a close-knit community across various experiences, backgrounds, and life stages.
And, this is a fun and low-pressure way to spend a few afternoons!
If you are interested in sharing your stories and listening to those of others, please join us! We ask that you please commit to attending each of the 6 sessions, so that our group can truly grow together.

Charlotte Creative Fiction Writer’s Group
Come join Clayton Brown, local writer, with the Charlotte Creative Fiction Writers Group to gain informational guidance on writing your own fiction novel. The group will discuss creative tips, structural and formatting techniques to give your story flow and the uniqueness for a smoother read.
Writers of all experience and skill levels are encouraged to join this group to share work, exchange ideas and feedback, and meet other local amateur writers.
Walk-ins are welcome! Please feel free to drop-in to the program if you are curious about writing and want to know more about the writing process.

Charlotte Creative Fiction Writer's Group meet on the second Saturday of the month at Independence Regional Library and workshop writing.
