What we’re about
The Chesapeake Audubon Society works in the Maryland region to promote the stewardship of natural ecosystems through conservation, restoration, education, and advocacy. We schedule hikes, canoe trips, and educational events throughout the year to help members and guests learn about birds, plants, and the natural world around them. Beginners are welcome!

In this photography oriented field trip we will seek out and photograph spring wildflowers at Susquehanna State Park. Emphasis will be on using different photographic techniques to capture images of wildflowers that go beyond a simple record of the flower to creating something artistically pleasing.
Participants should have a camera that allows manual exposure or exposure compensation. Beyond that just about any camera will do. We will use a variety of focal lengths from wide angle to telephoto so bring whatever you feel like carrying. Contact me if you are unsure if your camera/lens will be suitable or if you have questions about what to bring. A tripod that gets close to the ground can be useful for some shots and techniques but is not required.
Pre-registration with the trip leader is Required. Limit to five participants. Contact Hugh Simmons at 410-456-0017 or lensonnature@gmail.com to register.
