Welcome Euchre Players! **PLEASE READ THE WHOLE DESCRIPTION**
We have two Euchre Meetup groups in the Cleveland area - one on the West Side and one on the East Side.
Since Euchre requires 4 people (standard) accurate RSVPs are very helpful. Please be considerate of the rest of the members and RSVP accurately to the best you can. The rules should be discussed prior to starting a game to be sure everyone is on the same page (stick the dealer, farmer hands, ace no face, etc.). Typically, we play simply with only stick the dealer, but if everyone at the table is in agreement to other rules, that's fine.
The cost is $1 per player per event - this is used to recover the costs of the Meetup fees. Depending on the location where the Meetup is held, you may need to buy food or drink for the establishment to welcome the group.
Regarding COVID, everyone is an adult so I am not telling you what to do in terms of getting vaccinated, but we will comply with all the state, local and restaurant rules which could mean wearing masks so come prepared. If you would like to eat and play at the same time, please ask your fellow players and be understanding if they would prefer that you did not. We will either have a new deck of cards or a deck that has been sitting untouched for approximately 1 week. If I am there, I will hand sanitizer and cleaning wipes. Of course, you can bring your own as well.
Since we do not have a formal reservation at the New Heights Grill for our event, please be aware that we may have to make a last-minute decision to move just across the parking lot to the Rib Cage in the event New Heights Grill is too busy. The Rib Cage does not normally have an issue with space so they are our backup plan. Please be flexible, look for other players, and check the meetup event for updates. Be aware that if you comment on the event it is a public comment. You can also message people directly and those messages are private.
