Maybe you want to burn off some caleries before an Easter day feast. Maybe you just need some time in the woods to clear your head before seeing that difficult family member, or perhaps you just have no friends, like me. In any case please join us for a hike at Baldpate mountain.

This is a Moderate hike, we will do 6 miles in about 3 and a half hours, with an elevation gain of about 750 feet. I recommend hiking boots because there will be mud. Bring poles if you normally use them, plenty of water, a snack, and maybe bug spray.

We will meet in the Fiddlers Creek road Parking lot, at the kiosk near the trailhead. ( see picture ) The address in the location section of this post will get you very close, if you don't see the parking lot keep driving a few hundred feet and the lot will be on your left, for an exact location you can put these coordinates in a GPS or mapping app: 40°19'05.8"N 74°53'26.5"W
There is a porta-potty in the parking lot.

** Note that Round Valley is closing at 7pm for April.

1. Hike Start time is 6:00PM sharp. Meet at 5:50pm because most members arrive 10 minutes early (it is a social group!). Come early because we hit the trail on time!
2. Meetup Location: Meet at South lot. Google Maps Plus code: J592+R9. Do not go to the boat ramp.
3. Wear hiking boots! There are sections that may be slippery or loose gravel/rocks. Please hike safely, and within your abilities
4. Hike distance is approx 2 miles and takes about 45 minutes - 1 hour

Sunset Hike at Beautiful Round Valley Reservoir with its spectacular views. Great People turn out for this and it's lots of fun! Easy hike with a few small hills, rocks, and roots to navigate. Hiking boots are recommended. Well behaved leashed dogs are welcome.

Post hike gathering at Riley & Jakes 1831 Rt 31, Clinton, NJ. Please bring cash for easy splitting of check because they do not offer individual checks.

Camping in Ohiopyle State Park
Located in Sothern PA west of Pittsburg, Ohiopyle State Park is a fantastic place for an adventure. There are great hiking trails, natural water slides, white water kayaking, as well as cycling trails and historic sites. Laurel Caverns and Two famous Frank Lloyd Wright homes are nearby, just to name a few of the attractions for the area.
People are required to book their own site or to find someone to share with. I have booked site number 209. We share meals together and will do some things as a group but you are free to do stuff on our own.
We will be camping in the State Park Kentuck campground, there are sites still available but you should make a reservation soon. Get a site as close as you can to Juniper road.
