What we’re about
This is a relaxed, informal group of folks who meet up to enjoy one another’s company, drum, dance, hoop, spin fire, or just move to the music in their own way. Everyone is welcome, at any level of skill and interest. Kids are very welcome! Please do watch out for your little ones in the proximity of spinning hoops, staffs, poi, etc. So far, we’ve been meeting at Niles Town Plaza (37592 Niles Blvd, Fremont, CA 94536) about once a month, on the full moon, starting around 6:30pm, and going until folks care to stop. Sometimes we have a second wave of people later in the evening, after the children have departed. Please bring a drum or another instrument, if you have one (or more) and wish to play and/or share. Sometimes we have extras on hand, but unfortunately, this can’t be guaranteed every time. Use of household items such as buckets and pie pans is encouraged, in the absence of other options. You might want to bring a chair, if you have an easily transportable one. To date, this event has always been free, since we are using a free public space. I would be happy to accept small donations towards the Meetup Group fee, but no one should feel obliged to contribute.
