What we’re about
Draw Y'all is where sketchers of all skill levels meet and sketch at different locations throughout the Triangle. We draw people, buildings, portraits, figures, landscapes, botanicals, and anything we damn well please. The only thing you need to bring is your pencils, sketch pad, and a friend, if you like. If you feel like you can't draw...come try anyway! Our events are open to all people, all levels. We also post a lot of art events run by other places (such as the Nasher Museum) each month, so check out our calendar.

See all- Durham Plein Air/USK at Durham Farmer's MarketDurham Farmer's Market, Durham, NC
Grab your travel-friendly painting supplies and/or sketchbook and join us for some art outdoors. All levels and types welcome!
This month we're meeting at Durham Farmer's Market. We've also shifted by a week to not overlap with Raleigh Outdoor Painting Group. Remember, you can find more similar live art meetups at NCArtMeets.com.
The event officially starts at 10am, though a small group of us prefers to start earlier at 9 so feel free to come early if you like. Make sure you set up out of the way of vendors and customers.
At 11:45am, meet together for the throw-down where we can admire each other's work. I'll post in the chat on the day of where to meet - I want to make sure it's in the shade and not in the way of any vendors.
Event will be canceled in case of severe weather, but not for light rain. I will send an email update from Meetup if this happens, so RSVP here to get the updates (will only send to people who replied yes).
Tips
- Wear comfortable clothing for the weather and supportive shoes for walking on uneven terrain.
- Bring a hat, sunscreen, and bug spray.
- Bring water and any other beverages or snacks you may want.
- If you don't have an easel or don't prefer standing, bring a folding chair/stool or picnic blanket.
- Make sure you're able to carry your supplies for short to medium distances, depending on your preferred painting location.
- Be aware of your surroundings and the weather. Watch out for uneven terrain and signs of heat exhaustion. Hike at your own risk. Stay hydrated.
- Leave the area as you found it or better. Bring any trash out with you.

Grab your travel-friendly painting supplies and/or sketchbook and join us for some art outdoors. All levels and types welcome!
This month we're trying out a "nocturne" event at the Hillsborough Last Fridays art walk. It's a fun atmosphere with many people walking around enjoying the art galleries and bars. Go to that link to see the full list of open galleries and special events. It won't be fully dark at 7pm but the light will be starting to change.
At 9pm, meet together for the throw-down where we can admire each other's work. Meet on the Churton Street side of the Old Courthouse (the art market vendors will be breaking down and loading cars on the opposite side).
Event will be canceled in case of severe weather, but not for light rain. I will send an email update from Meetup if this happens, so RSVP here to get the updates (will only send to people who replied yes).
