Meeting Location: Militia Hill Hawk Watch, Lot-5, 447 Militia Hill Rd, Fort Washington, PA 19034
Militia Hill is an excellent birding spot located on the Atlantic Flyway. With a nice view of the Delaware Valley, and welcoming woods, songbirds and raptors can be seen year-around. Search for birds with a ranger and learn some things about their life histories.
Bring your own binoculars. Walk is 1 mile long, with moderate inclines. Event in partnership with Wild Birds Unlimited of Dresher.

Coffee & Birds is back at Beltzville State Park for 2025!!!! Join park naturalist and avid birder Rob Bergstresser every Friday in April, starting April 11th, for some morning coffee and birding. We'll enjoy some bird-friendly, certified organic, shade-grown coffee before heading out on the trails in search of migrating birds. This is the perfect time of year to view some of the early migrating songbirds! Participants are encouraged to bring their own binoculars, but a limited number of binoculars are available for loan during the program. *Rain will cancel the program.
We will be meeting at the Environmental Interpretive Center (EIC) for this program.
***Dogs are not allowed on this hike, or any hike that involves viewing birds.Registration is REQUIRED, as group size is limited. Please register each individual attending, separately. Dust off those birding binoculars because it's time for spring migration!!! Whether you're new to birding or an experienced birder, come join park naturalist and avid birder Rob Bergstresser as we celebrate National Let's Go Birding Day, and search for migrating birds along the Day Use Area trails. Participants are encouraged to bring their own binoculars, although a very limited number of binoculars are available for loan during the program. Please wear sturdy hiking/walking shoes for this easy-to-moderate 2-mile walk around our Day Use trails. Moderate-to-heavy rain or thunderstorms will cancel the walk.

Meeting Location: Lot-5, 447 Militia Hill Rd, Fort Washington, PA 19034
Join us at Fort Washington, to help support the growth of native flowers in our Butterfly Garden and flowerbeds. We'll being weeding, tidying the paths, spreading mulch, and planting new blossoms. We'll provide tools and gloves, so grab a trowel and lend a hand!
