Eugene Springfield Volleyball

VOLLEYBALL GUIDELINES

We welcome people of all skill levels at most events. Some events will have an indicated minimum skill rating. Players need to have adequate physical and mental health to get to the ball, pass the ball to or near the intended target, and get the ball over the net most of the time.

RSVPs are required for all events. After you RSVP, you will be waitlisted until we verify our eligibility to play. The event status may show full even though we have fewer players than that. This is to help manage RSVPs.

Sand volleyball events will feature doubles, triplets, or quads per side, with a preference for doubles or triplets. We need at least 4 players who can commit to the entire event.

Grass volleyball events need at least 8 players who can stick around the whole time and host up to 14 per court for the ultimate fun!

WAIVER

I hereby agree to the following:

Each participant is responsible for their own insurance. Eugene Springfield Volleyball does not provide medical insurance coverage for participants.

In consideration of being allowed to participate in this activity, I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Eugene Springfield Volleyball, its organizers, and agents from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action for injury or damages suffered by myself or others arising out of or in any way connected with my participation in this activity. I understand and acknowledge that volleyball involves inherent risks, and that proper training and conditioning are recommended. I voluntarily assume all such risks for myself and any guests I invite under my RSVPs.

EYE PROTECTION

In consideration of being allowed to participate in volleyball games while wearing eyewear (as described below), I hereby release and discharge all claims against referees, Eugene Springfield Volleyball, its organizers, and agents for any injury or damage suffered by me in connection with my participation. I understand that wearing eyewear—including but not limited to eyeglasses, goggles, or other forms of eye protection—during volleyball games may create additional risks to both myself and other participants. I voluntarily assume all such risks for myself and agree to be responsible for any injuries or damages caused to others resulting from my wearing eye protection.

By becoming a member of Eugene Springfield Volleyball or submitting RSVPs to events, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this waiver.
