As usual, our doors open at 5:30 pm for a social time in French (or not in French).
The Chorus (French: Les Choristes) is a 2004 German-French-Swiss musical drama film directed by Christophe Barratier. Co-written by Barratier and Philippe Lopes-Curval, it is an adaptation of the 1945 film A Cage of Nightingales (La Cage aux rossignols). The story is inspired by the origin of the boys' choir the Little Singers of Paris.
At the 77th Academy Awards, The Chorus was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film and Best Original Song (the latter for "Vois sur ton chemin", listed as "Look to Your Path", composed by Bruno Coulais).All movies are in French subtitled in English!

Painting and Speaking French- (for all levels of French, recommended from the A2 level)
During this 2h workshop ($40 for non members, $30 for Alliance française members) taught in French in a very relaxing atmosphere, Cara will guide us to learn watercolor painting!
Workshop 1:
- Brush techniques, watercolor textures and artist trading cards.
Cara Marie Young is an artist from Atlanta, Georgia based in Detroit, Michigan. Her current interdisciplinary painting practice is an evolving response to the human experience, concerned with issues of race in the American landscape. Cara finds relaxation in watercolor painting and she enjoy sharing those moments and her skills.
Material is not included. Bring your own material: watercolors, paper, brushes... (feel free to request a suggested material list before registration)-

- Nov 15th : Still life (on the table) - Dec 6th: Paiting lights (street light)
- Jan 24th: Snow textures
- Feb 7th: Paiting flowers (un bouquet) - Mar. 21st: Color techniques, watercolor textures and artist trading cards.
- April 18th: Landscape composition
- May 23rd: Rain textures
- June 20th: Sunset
All classes are 5:00PM to 7:00PM except in October (10 AM to noon)
