Frederick Startup Community

The Frederick Startup Community is a group for those involved in, interested in, or curious about startups and startup activity in the Frederick, Maryland area. Our primary focus is on technology related startups but others are welcome as well.

Frederick county is a great place to live but has not been known as the best place for technology jobs. Many who live in the Frederick area commute down I-270 toward DC or across I-70 toward Columbia and Baltimore seeking broader job opportunities. Those interested in starting a technology company are often encouraged to move to a larger technology hub where there is a higher density of like-minded individuals - but at the expense of the Frederick lifestyle.

The goal of this group is to build a collaborative community to support and grow startups in the Frederick, Maryland technology sector.

We will have regular meetups to to share, educate, and collaborate on topics relevant to startups and a startup community.
