Everyone is very welcome to join us for tea and cake and the church service, which runs every Sunday.
Hope you can join us! PLEASE NOTE that this is NOT the English class. The English class runs during the term: and classes are posted as separate Meetup events. Please sign up for the classes on the relevant Meetup. The classes run from 2:30 pm - 3:45pm.
What happens in this event?
Come and meet a friendly local community. Make friends from all over the world, people from diverse backgrounds and stages of life. You will experience a Traditional English Church Service with Live Music and Singing. Enjoy Tea and coffee before the Church service.
What happens during the church service?
You do not need to do anything, apart from sit, listen and observe. It is a great way to improve your listening skills and also to learn about what Christianity says about life and why we think it might be relevant.
You will listen to live singing, prayer, a Bible reading, and hear a talk from someone explaining it.
You are welcome to join at any time and leave before the service finishes if you do not feel you can stay. You will have time after the service to talk to us either about what you have heard or just anything you'd like to talk about, over a cup of tea or coffee and there is usually also a lot of cakes or snacks!
