The Fremont Photographic Society continues our popular Show & Tell meeting via Zoom. We invite you to share one photograph with fellow local amateur photographers. No critique. No judging. You can use this time any way you want. Just show a photo you are proud of, or describe what prompted you to make the image, or ask people how they respond to the photo, or show a ‘work in progress’ and asks for suggestions on how to get over a sticking point. This is an opportunity to have an engaging conversation with fellow photographers in a low-key setting.

- Photowalk - Little Yosemite via McCorkle PlateauMission Blvd Park & Ride [FRT], Fremont, CA
Hi All!
Join us for this month’s S3 Photowalk on Saturday, March 15th, as we explore Sunol Regional Park, hiking to Little Yosemite via the McCorkle Plateau.
Sunol Regional Park is a stunning natural area in the East Bay, known for its rolling hills, open grasslands, and rugged rock formations. The park offers expansive views, diverse wildlife, and excellent opportunities for nature photography. Our route will take us to Little Yosemite, a scenic section of Alameda Creek featuring cascades and smooth granite formations. The active creek makes this a great location for long-exposure water photography.
We will meet at Mission Park and Ride at 10:00 AM and leave for the trailhead at 10:30 AM. The drive to the park takes about half an hour. There is plenty of parking at the trailhead, but an East Bay Parks and Rec (EBPRD) pass is required. If you have a hang tag, please bring it in case it is needed for parking.
Directions to Park and Ride: https://maps.app.goo.gl/wk2zdrePjNuwobo4A
Directions to the Trailhead: https://maps.app.goo.gl/cWqqsuh6ghi67oR39The trails are a mix of dirt single and double track, with an accessible creek at Little Yosemite. Expect some elevation gain along the McCorkle Plateau.
S3 Photowalk, Third Saturday, is a free street-level photographic art program based in Fremont, CA. We have been active for 16 years and are affiliated with the Fremont Photographic Society and the Fremont Art Association. This is a relaxed, supportive environment for photographers of all levels to improve their skills while exploring East Bay parks and natural areas.
What to bring:
Layered clothing
Hat
Snacks or lunch
Camera
Batteries
Lens hood
Filters
Tripod (recommended for moving water shots)We encourage attendees to meet at the Park and Ride for carpooling, as we will not delay the group at the trailhead. A signed liability waiver is required to participate.
Looking forward to another great photowalk!
Cheers,
Ralph Cooksey-Talbott
