Winter is here. The chill is in the air. Come and see the beautiful winter scenery.
THIS HIKE WILL START FROM THE TRAILHEAD ONE MILE FROM THE CENTER AT THE KIOSK. There is an outhouse by the lean-to but If YOU NEED TO GO POTTY, ARRIVE EARLY AND GO TO THE CENTER PARKING LOT BUT PLEASE BE AT THE KIOSK PARKING LOT BY 12:30. We will do a moderate pace and cover over 3 miles of the long and spring trails. Again, we will also be going by the outhouse near the lean-to. We will be hiking over 3 miles so be ready to do a moderate pace.
If parking area is unusable, go to center parking area and another trek will be conducted.
As this is a winter trek, please be prepared to wear snowshoes or micro spikes. You can rent snowshoes from the center for a cost of $5. Please arrive early so you can be fitted with the snowshoes.
We take your safety seriously during this time. Trek is limited to 15 individuals so please sign up early.

As of this writing, Dyken Pond Road is in good condition with just a few small potholes but it can also be icy. Please take this into consideration when planning to attend. AWD or 4WD is still highly recommended but not necessary.
