What we’re about
I'm a gregarious soul who believes life is enhanced by friendship and activities. This group started off as just a book club, and has evolved into a generic group with members who enjoy various activities and socialising. The list of activities is endless, and members are invited to contribute ideas as well as host events as I can't do everything,, but there is no pressure to do this.
Consequently we will have various social events and jaunts and suggestions are welcome. I don't envisage a singles group, so partners and couples will be welcome. The only things I ask for are integrity, enthusiasm, respect for each other, a love of life and an interest in what it might offer. The group will not tolerate bigotry or harassment of individual members. Please be sensitive. Again, good manners are important, if a member fails to attend several events without apology beforehand, they will be removed. There is no point in an inactive membership. If you don't feel that you can attend at least once in a blue moon, please do not join the group or, if you are finding that our events are not for you, please resign.
There is no charge for events, but members are asked to pay £10 annually to cover the £250 I pay meet-up per year.
Lastly we prefer people to post their own magnificent portraits...this helps hosts to recognise and welcome new people.
