What we’re about
This is a group formed from the lessons I learned organizing for other groups for years. Time to do my own thing that combines fun outside activities with a strong base of respect toward all your fellow members and organizers.
Anyone who loves to be outside with cool people should join. Come out and meet some great people, enjoy some hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, geocaching, insights about the history of our natural areas.
Our rules are simple.
1) Be respectful of fellow GOP-MD members
2) Participate - Attend events, propose your own events, become an organizer
3) As an outdoors group there are inherent risks to attending our activities. Our organizers do their best to keep everyone safe but we are a volunteer organization with no resources to anticipate and mitigate every possible risk. Members must understand there are risks, accept those risks and be responsible for their own safety.
4) Enjoy yourself - life's too short to be miserable while outside enjoying nature!
