ACCESS VIA DORKING MAIN LINE STATION.MEETING PLACE DENDIES

This scenic circular hilly walk starts at Denbies . We start with short circuit of the Vineyard at Denbies . We climb onto Ranmore Common Then direct to Polesdon Lacey, a stately home with stunning views.

We will take a tea break there. Our walk then takes us back through the valley back to Denbies before we return to our start point.

There are some hills .

No service is inferred or risk assumed.

If arriving by car there is free parking in Chichester Road opposite the station, or plenty of free parking in Denbies main car park , meeting place out front.

PLEASE WE ADIVISED THIS IS GROUP EVENT , IF PARTICIPANTS WALK OF IN WRONG DIRECTION BECAUSE THEY IN FRONT OF MAIN GROUP, WE WONT BE WAITING , ITS RESPONSIBILITY OF SUCH INDIVIGUALS TO STAY WITH MAIN GROUP AND CHECK ROUTE AND THAT THEY CAN SEE MAIN GROUP .

Join us as we follow route that takes us out of Denbies , up and over the in the Direction up Box Hill and cirucular of Denbies. Autumn colours are Just perfect this time of year.

From Denbies we will make our way back and up and over the valley and over to box hill , climbing box hill to enjoy the view from the other side of the valley back on what we have just walked and enjoy the decent the other side of Box Hill over looking Denbies, as the sun sets.

There is plenty of parking at Denbies vine yard , as the car park is now open to the public or adjoining road.

Those who dont drive , can take the train to Dorking from Guildford , and other connections and Denbies is only short walk from the station.

Please wear appropriate walking shoes , and bring at least one litre of water ideally two

This walk is not a route march , we will the spend the afternoon enjoying the country side and all it has to offer, this is really a beautiful valley , with such varied vista , it will never bore , average walking pace 2.5 miles an hour .

Though please bare in mind this is relatively hilly walk , only sign up if you are used to climbing hills , such as box hill.

The walk is a group event with no risk assumed and no service inferred all on public rights of way.

After the walk i will be staying on to go onto Brockham fire work display , if any wish to Join us , your very welcome to join. Meal before in Pub or drink

Why not come and spend the day on the south coast .

Starting from Worthing train station we will Take the coastal Path Ending in Littlehampton some 11 Miles Later.

Late start to enable any who want to attend to come by train . Meeting outside Worthing train station for 10.30am

Low tide is scheduled for 4pm . This will allow us to enjoy walking along the hard sands as we reach Last 7 Miles to Littlehampton .

Interesting and varied walk .

Return trains can be taken back to London , or return to Worthing where cars and be parked .

There is parking available at the train station.

Please do bring a packed Lunch , if you want one and money for tea coffee etc , as i do plan stop at Cafe on route for refreshments.

Even trip onto Worthing Pier .

We as group have walked Much of the south Coast from Margate in Kent to Lyme Regis .

This walk is a 14 mile section we have not connected up from Seaford to Brighton . the walk in mainly along flat sea wall , and coast path , with views of the sea.

Please bring a Pack lunch - water . though we plan to stop off a caffe on route , though i have walked this section before , so do please come prepared with food and water .

Under foot is mainly gravel hard surfaces , do please come dressed for the weather.

Meeting at Seaford Railway station for 10.30 We head to the sea front

Walking in the Direction of Brighton , we follow the sea front from Seaford to Newhaven , across the river , and then the coastal Path to Brighton .

Finishing at Brighton Pier , we head off , for fish chip supper for those who wish.

Return by train to Seaford , from Brighton , with many connections to London .

I will be driving from Guildford , any who would like lift , leaving Guildford railways station 8.30.

This walk is not suitable for Dogs that are not trained , and who are unable to be lead for most of it . Please do bare that in mind . we wont be waiting for Dog owners who dogs, and owners responsibility to manage their dogs , we wont be waiting .
