Cultivating a deeper awareness of how prana functions and flows in the body enriches the practice of yoga, creating ease and grace both in and off the mat.
Each session explores a specific aspect of prana through yoga postures, mudras, pranayama, deep relaxation and contemplation. .
Prana Vayu
Located at the heart centre and governed by the air element, prana vayu draws in the universal life force.Apana Vayu
Governed by the earth element and situated in the pelvic floor, the downward movement of apana vayu is both grounding and releasing.Vyana Vayu
Associated with the water element, vyana vayu is all pervasive. Moving from the core to the periphery, it governs circulation.Udana Vayu
Moving upwards from heart to head, udana vayu is related to the element of ether, influencing thought and awareness.Samana Vayu
Associated with the fire element and centred in the navel, udana vayu flows from the periphery to the core and is referred to as the 'balancing air'Investment: £13.50 per session
