Hiking with Friends is a group from Walnut Creek Friends Church and others who enjoy hiking the hills in Contra Costa County and other Bay Area locations. This group is for anyone who enjoys making new friends and exploring the great outdoors while developing stronger relationships with Jesus, nature, and one another.

Come join me on this early hike at the Crockett Hills Regional Park where the views towards Mt. Tamalpais and the North Bay are incredible.
This 4.1 mile medium-difficulty hike has 702 ft vertical gain. It's a bit steep at first but once we are on the ridge it's relatively easy. Here is a link to a map for your reference.

Let's meet up at the Crockett Hills Regional Park trailhead at 7:45 am located at 1300 Crockett Boulevard in Crockett. We will finish our trek around 11:00 am. Alternatively, you can carpool with me from the Walnut Creek Friends Church back parking lot at 1950 First Avenue leaving at 7:00 am.
Be sure to bring a windbreaker or other layers as the ridge can be cold and windy. And of course bring the usual sturdy shoes/boots, water to drink, a snack to eat, and an attitude for making friends.
