ISSA NOVA, the Northern Virginia chapter of the Information Systems Security Association, hosts monthly meetings featuring exciting speakers, networking, and dinner. Meetings are free to members, and qualify for CPE credits. Non-ISSA members are invited to attend a meeting or two, before deciding if they wish to become an ISSA member.

Abstract: This session will explore how risk and compliance services divisions can adopt GenAI to manage risk and improve compliance.
Topics include:- Envisioning a secure Gen AI data and technology ecosystem and describing what it may look like
- Determining strategies to employ while prioritizing GenAI projects
- Realizing and measuring value from GenAI-enabled processes vs. manual ones, and discussing the accuracy of the models
Session Outcome: Will provide tangible outcomes on how to start embedding GenAI within the risk management lifecycle. This session is designed for cybersecurity professionals, risk and compliance executives aiming to harness the power of GenAI to turn challenges into opportunities, being a partner to the business to enable growth and other strategic goals, and positioning their institutions at the forefront of risk management innovation and security.
About the Speaker: Supro Ghose is a seasoned information security and risk management professional with over 18 years of experience as a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in the financial services sector, in firms such as RBS, FINRA, CSBS, and EagleBank. His leadership spans more than 30 years at renowned organizations, including VISA, Microsoft, Citibank, and CSS. Supro has a proven track record of building resilient cybersecurity programs, architecting cyber fusion centers, conducting assessments, leading global security teams, and aligning security strategies with business objectives. His expertise encompasses regulatory compliance (FISMA, GLBA, FFIEC, NIST CSF, PCI-DSS), risk management, cloud security, and incident response. He co-authored the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) paper, “Security Implications of ChatGPT” , further showcasing his thought leadership in GenAI and cybersecurity. Supro holds top industry certifications, including CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, C|CISO, and CCSK, validating both his strategic and technical proficiency.
