What Happens at an Estuary Event?
An estuary event is a unique two-hour conversation designed to foster intellectual diversity, free expression, and thoughtful dialogue. We especially welcome people from different ideological backgrounds, religions, political persuasions, and perspectives on current events. Our aim is to listen, learn, and perhaps even learn to love.
Key Features:
- Mutual Respect: We use a protocol that encourages mutual respect and openness to new ideas.
- No Agenda: There is no pre-determined agenda or prepared lessons.
- Democratic Topics: Each participant can suggest a topic, and together we decide which topics will lead to the most interesting and productive conversations.
Session Highlights:
- Every session is different, starting with new topics shared by participants.
- We explore big questions of life like morality, justice, and current difficult issues. No topic is off limits, including religion, personal relationships, politics, sexuality, the state of the world or really important topics like how to engage and make friends and how to be love in the world.
Join Us: Ready to broaden your perspective? We meet on the first and third Thursday evening of every month at 6:30 PM for a online discussion. Sign up now for our next session and be part of a community that values thoughtful conversation over ideological battles.
