What we’re about
This group is for anybody interested in hiking/hill walking. The group is based in Limerick and we organise hikes throughout the South West. You need to be reasonably fit and active and wear proper hiking gear. All hikes are free of charge and members must take full responsibility for their own health and safety. It's also important to respect the landowners, close gates, leave no rubbish, etc.
RSVP policy.
It is a nuisance when people RSVP and don't show up as the hike is delayed waiting around for everyone. On hikes where the places are limited, spots have been taken that could have gone to someone on the waitlist. In future, only put your name down if you are going to attend. If you RSVP for a hike and don't turn up, you will be marked as a no show. If this happens more than once without contacting the hike leader, you will be removed from the group.
