Regaining our footing after the loss of a spouse is one of the greatest challenges we widows and widowers (hopefully) will ever face. Only those who have experienced this heartbreaking loss can truly understand how it affects every single aspect of our lives, including how we spend our free time and with whom we spend that time.
Being widowed is a terrible club to join and the dues are much, much too high. But if you must make this journey from your old life to a new life, there is comfort in doing it with like-minded friends.
We in our group have all walked this lonely path of widowhood and we understand that your life has been turned upside down by your loss. Spending time with other widows and widowers in upbeat social settings can help right your ship.
