Welcome to Montclair Backpacking Club!
Join us for hiking, backpacking and overnight kayaking trips in the NY/NJ/PA area. All experience levels are welcome. (Please also join us at Campers' Group: https://www.meetup.com/campersgroup)
This is one of the easiest ways to make new friends while taking in the trails in the North East.
Are you a trail blazer with hundreds/thousands of miles under your feet? Join us as we thru-hike some of the longer trails we have in the surrounding area.
Never hiked before? Come and join us on one of our day hikes and get a feel for the trail with like minded and safety conscious group organizers.
Past bucket list trips have included Grand Canyon Rim-to-Rim, Smoky Mountains and the White Mountains Presidential Traverse.
By joining this group you hereby indemnify and release from liability Ken Q, Emmanuel and all other group members. You agree that you are undertaking inherently risky activities in the wilderness, including but not limited to hiking, backpacking and camping, and you are engaging in these activities of your own accord. You agree not to hold any group leaders or members responsible and hereby and irrevocably give up your right to pursue litigation should accident, injury or death arise during your participation in these activities. Furthermore, you agree that your membership in this group shall constitute your legal signature.
