See all- House Concert Featuring Lucy ClearwaterMy living room, San Rafael, CA
Hi everyone! As of this morning I didn't know I'd be hosting a concert in March, but I was contacted by Lucy Clearwater who told me she was coming to the Bay Area, so we quickly set wheels in motion. I first met Lucy in 2017 — and ever since then, she and I have been communicating and trying to get a show on the calendar, but the timing has never worked out...until today! I'm so thrilled!
Lucy is a folk singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with a background in classical violin. Since moving to Los Angeles at age 18, she’s released an emotional range of singles, as well as her debut EP "Feel Again" (2020), followed by three self-produced EP’s “Casual” (2023), “Augenlieder” (2023) and “April” (2024). She has graced the stage at many of LA’s most beloved venues including the Troubadour, and sold out shows at The Hotel Cafe, and School Night at Bardot. Her songs are incredibly emotive, vulnerable, and melodically driven with influence from Joni Mitchell, Eva Cassidy, Gregory Alan Isakov, and Laura Marling, to name a few. Listen to Lucy here.
2024 was a year full of touring for Clearwater, with a mixture of headlining shows, as well as a US, UK and EU tour supporting Victoria Canal, and another Germany & UK tour supporting Philine Sonny. She won the Kerrville Folk Festival’s 2024 New Folk Competition in Texas with two of her original compositions, and subsequently toured through Texas with her fellow winners. Clearwater is now working on her debut album with Grammy Award Winning producer Tyler Chester.
Donations are $25 per person in cash at the door, or please Venmo Lucy directly @lucyclearwater. Be sure to bring extra cash with you as she will have merchandise for sale.
As is custom with house concerts, please bring a beverage, appetizer or dessert to share. But please, NO RED WINE to save my carpet from that after-show blush!
