What we’re about
This is the group for anyone wanting to practice speaking English or Spanish! All levels of English or Spanish are welcome to this meet up group!
All materials will be provided and are designed to create a fun environment for practicing English or Spanish, so bring a friend and come join us!
We will divide into two tables, one for Spanish practice and one for English practice.
You can speak with the organizer if you want to be a helper at the table, with the teacher, instead of a learner. If you participate in this way, then, you will help people speak at your table! For example, if you are American and want to help foreigners learn to speak, you can sit at the English table and help them, by gently correcting their accent or helping them find a word they are having trouble remembering, as they tell you their story!
It's alot of fun being a learner or a helper and the goal will be to meet and chat with people, of many backgrounds, while practicing a language!
If you are visiting the United States and wish to practice your English, this is the perfect meet up group for you! Please come join us, we would love to meet you and to hear about your travels! Our goal is to have conversation with people from all over the world, so do make this beautiful little town a destination for practicing your English (or Spanish!).
We will meet in a lovely Nevada City Cafe (to be announced) between 5:30 pm and 7:00 pm on Tuesdays, beginning March 3, 2020. There is a $3 fee for the class and we ask that you buy something from the cafe - even if it is just a cup of coffee!
