What we’re about
Looking to get together with fellow casual board game fans in the Northwest side of the city and share in some board game fun from time to time. I have a pretty wide range of game types that I enjoy and I really like teaching/walking others on how to play games that I own as well as learning new ones. All skill levels/experience with board games are welcome.
I can envision rotating locations within these 8-ish neighborhoods: Edison Park, Norwood Park, Dunning Square, Montclare, Belmont Cragin, Portage Park, Jefferson Park, Forest Glen and have some locations (that offer light food/drink) already in mind. I’d envision that this group would all share in bringing games, but at a minimum, I’d commit to bringing some crowd-favorites from my modest, but growing, library:

Looking forward to sharing in some board game fun with others!
Attention all fans of role playing! If you also like some spooky spice mixed into your adventure AND are at least 18 years old, then consider joining us Wednesday, Oct 30th from 5 to 9:30pm for some role playing fun! Our team of game masters are already brewing up some exciting (and horrifying???) one shots for the evening.
Cost is $15 or just $5 if you purchase $10 in food and drink! And as always, feel free to tip your game master for all their hard work in preparation of and guiding you through the adventure.
Note: when RSVP'ing, you'll be put into a waitlist. Once we connect via meetup chat and you confirm your participation, you'll be marked as "going". This extra step is needed to help mitigate no-shows.
All experience levels are welcome; even if this is your first time trying a role playing game! The game masters will walk you through it.
Got your own character sheet and your own dice? Cool, bring them in with you. Your GM will review and suggest any tweaks as appropriate for the evening.
Don't have a character sheet? No problem, we'll help you create one.
Be sure to come hungry and thirsty as we've got a great menu of Puerto Rican Food and drinks to fuel you as you dodge chainsaws, axes, spells, or whatever else the game masters throw your way:

We also hope to have some spooky seasonal menu specials available as well.
Looking forward to "serving" you - ha ha ha ha ha (those were scary/menacing type "ha ha ha"s there)
p.s. we know plans change, but its important that you keep your RSVP up to date. If you can no longer make it, please change your RSVP to "not going" so that we can allocate the appropriate number of game masters. Its not fair to them to prepare and commute in when there aren't any adventurers to guide.
