Welcome to the Orlando Area Christian Singles (OACS) Meetup site! Over the years we have noticed that singles are an under-represented group at many Central Florida Christian churches. As a result, we lose out on fellowship opportunities within our own faith communities. The OACS Meetup group is for all Christian, legally single adults (21+ years old) – divorced, widowed or never-been-married - from any Bible believing Christian church or denomination in Central Florida.
We have Social, Spiritual and Service Events for you to pick from. You will probably meet a whole new set of friends if you attend events from each of these categories. The events you attend will be hosted by one of our members. If you have event ideas, let them know, and they will try to incorporate your idea into the calendar. If you want to host an event, we suggest that you “co-host” first to see what is involved. After you have few events under your belt – you can become an event host yourself. If you or your church has an event to promote, contact a member of the OACS leadership team to discuss it. The team will work with you to share your event and to connect with other Christian singles, broadening your ministry's horizons.
We accept members from any Christian denomination, but we do not intend to replace any existing commitment you have to your local church, nor do we intend to represent any doctrinal beliefs held by any particular Christian denomination. Many churches are represented in OACS, and all are welcome!
A Word to the Wise:
As you attend more events, it is our hope that you will make new friendships to encourage your walk with Christ. However, we are not a dating site. The members of this site should feel safe to post their profiles without the threat of unsolicited comments or advances from other members. Reaching out to any member of this group privately via Meetup, without prior approval from that member, is unacceptable. We have a zero-tolerance policy regarding this issue and those who are found engaging in this behavior will be permanently banned from the OACS Meetup group.
