What we’re about
We are a FUN group of Singles who want to explore everything Denton County has to offer!
Our hope is to create a fun, relaxed group where Singles, ages 40 and up can meet and enjoy each other’s company. Members and Organizers schedule happy hours, dinners, dancing, movies, festivals, and a variety of activities on both weeknights and weekends. We're a friendly group, so we ask that you help us get to know you by adding a picture of yourself to your profile!
Members of Denton County Old But Not Dead Singles are welcome to add fun events in Denton County or nearby. Just use the "Suggest" tab on the Home page. Anyone can schedule an activity.
We want everyone to remember that this group is primarily for social purposes and is not meant to be a dating group. It's a bonus if you do meet someone special!
Membership Requirements:
You must have a recent photo that clearly shows your face.
You must be at least 40 years old; there isn't an upper age limit!
Guests should also be at least 40 years old. However, there are some activities that are open to younger family members and friends. The event host will note that in the description.
Don't send MeetUp emails to group members whom you haven’t met. This isn't a dating site; please don't treat it like one. Also, if you ask someone that you've from the group to go out and they say "No," do not continue to pursue them. Members who don't respect boundaries and make others uncomfortable will be removed.
This group is not for cultivating business relationships. Don't use MeetUp emails to promote your business and don’t create MeetUps for business events.
Organizers are volunteers who want to make the group better. Please be considerate to the event organizer and change your RSVP if your plans change. Updating your RSVP helps when they make reservations and other arrangements for our activities.
Please don’t wait until the last minute if you have questions about an activity. Organizers can’t always check the comments on the MeetUp site after an activity has started.
The MeetUp site charges for our group page. Occasionally we’ll ask everyone to chip in a small amount to help cover these fees.
Drug use or other behavior that an Organizer deems as inappropriate for a group activity may result in a member or members being removed from the group.
