Open Door Outreach volunteers (Little Rock area)

Come enjoy great conversation with great people, and also receive the latest updates on community events and volunteer opportunities! Open Door Outreach has this gathering on the 1st Monday of each month except some holiday weekends. Panera Bread has great coffee and eats available for those who want; it's across from the AT&T Store, Jared's jewelers and Esporta gym, near the Target shopping plaza on University Ave in Little Rock. It'd be great to have you there!

This is a free event on the 2nd Friday of each month, featuring complimentary hors d'oeuvres, wine/beer/other drinks, live music, and art. There's free parking across from the south museum entrance on 3rd St, between Scott St and Cumberland St (the lot says reserved but it's open to the public for Art Night). Attendees sometimes walk to another Art Nite participating location after visiting HAM. Event actually begins at 5:00 p.m., so you could arrive a bit earlier and likely be the first one there.

To request a volunteer slot, email arkansas@cff.org . This annual walk (1 mile) is coordinated by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and supports research and care needed to help advance a cure. Help is needed before and during this event.

This event is held every second Saturday when weather permits and the creek is high enough for boats. (If unsure, text & call Brian at 501-319-4789). This activity supports the efforts by Friends of Fourche Creek, Central Arkansas Master Naturalists and Keep Little Rock Beautiful to clean out the 100 foot floating trash booms on Fourche Creek near Benny Craig Park.

Kayaks and canoes are shared for participants to pull the litter collected by floating trash booms out of the otherwise beautiful Fourche Creek. If you have a kayak or canoe, bring it if you can. If there aren't enough boat seats for everyone, there's cleanup needed along the creek's shoreline and in the park.

Wear shoes that can get wet. Litter grabbers and trash bags are provided. Bring your own water, snacks, etc. If you have large buckets, containers, laundry baskets to place the trash into, please bring those. Any help you can give is very much appreciated!
