What we’re about
This meetup is open to anyone who is interested in fun and exciting activities or events in and around the San Francisco area. We're dedicated to providing an active list of events ranging from outdoor activities, happy hours, live bands, clubbing, and more! There is no limitations as different activities will attractive different demographics. We do discourage negativity and grumpy people. Our meetups will include discounts to fun activities and guest list access to some of the SF's hottest parties. We'll also host networking happy hours, team building workshops and other fun activities to cater to different needs. This meetup is about building a strong, resourceful, and social community in and around San Francisco. Check it out and say hi! We are open to working with other organizers and love to hear about other event suggestions!
This is a continuation of our mixer events which have continued to be very successful. This particular event does have a ticket cost as the production is a bit more extensive compared to past mixers. Essentially this event is a social soirée with plenty of opportunities to meet people from around the Bay Area.
I try to change up the venue and neighborhood with the season. We're going to host this one at Woodbury (just downstairs of Alchemist). Woodbury brings a cozy vibe that will be the perfect setting for an amazing night out.
Please review everything below regarding this event before RSVPing!
It would be nice to have a more accurate RSVP count for this event as the venue requires me to provide relatively accurate headcount. Please only RSVP if you're confident you'll be in attendance.
Tickets:
Women's Ticket (early bird)
Men's Ticket (early bird)
Couples Ticket (early bird)
About the Event:
These events are a great opportunity to get out, checkout an awesome venue, play some games, and meet tons of new people in a welcoming & social environment.
Tentative Schedule:
8:00p-9:30p - Mixer + light bites + tabletop games
9:30p-10:00p - Waltz Dance Class (optional)
10:00p -12:00p - dancing and hanging out! (likely to some 90s-00s throwback)
We'll have a check-in table near the back of Woodbury.
There will be wristbands at check-in. Much like at our last mixers, we'll have red, yellow, green, and blue wristbands available.
Red - "In a relationship or not on the market"
Yellow - "It's complicated"
Green - "Single & ready to mingle!"
Blue - "Here for the ride"
We'll have our classic Human Bingo game available for everyone to partake in. This game is a great ice breaker and a great way to get conversations going with everyone in attendance.
There will be some fun social card games places on the tables around the bar.
There will be light snacks available to combo with a delicious cocktail.
Attire: Dress to impress! This is a Masquerade Ball, so the plan is to really show out. Match your mask to your outfit and get that classy stuff out from the back of the closet. We will have some extra masks available at check-in in case you forget yours.
Parking: Parking can be tricky in SoMa depending on the surrounding events going on. If you're willing to park a few blocks away you can usually find something in the surrounding industrial streets. There are several buses that will also get you to SoMa as well as the Muni. Please don't leave any valuables in your car if you do decide to drive ~ the streets are not well lit!
Hope to see you all there,
Arthur

Arthur - Golden Gate Bridge Bike Ride (date changed! Weather permitting)San Francisco Bicycle Rentals, San Francisco, CA
Hey guys, the weather so far this winter has been ammmmmazing in SF. Thus, I want to attempt our typical spring bike ride over the bridge. With clear skies and beautiful sunsets, I think it's a great opportunity to get after it. This ride is a lot of fun and mostly easy bike ride! We move pretty slow and take plenty of breaks. It's more like a joy ride than anything aggressive although there are a few hills and obstacles.
This event is always a gamble with the San Francisco weather but we tend to get lucky. We'll give it a shot and I'll update the meetup the day before if it's canceled.
Route:
We'll depart Fisherman's Wharf at the bike rental location in the morning and ride over the bridge into Sausalito where we'll grab some lunch and check out the small tourist town.Everyone is on their own for lunch once we get into Sausalito & you'll have the option to opt out (some people will be ready to head back) and take the ferry back to Fisherman's Wharf close to where we started.
Those looking for a bit more adventure will have the option to ride into Tiburon with the remaining survivors. Once we hit the edge of Tiburon we'll grab some grub and a drink while we wait to catch the ferry back to the Ferry Building. From there it's a quick ride north to the bike rental location.
The Ride:
We'll be stopping to check out some awesome views along the way which include the Marin Headlands and other famous 'tourist hot spots'. The ride itself does have some uphill climbs and while it's open to everyone it may be difficult for those not used to riding a bike! The ride itself will take almost 2 hours of pure riding but we'll be stopping pretty regularly to gather the group and check out different areas. Bring some water and sunscreen!
Every now and then we'll break into two different groups in which the first group will do a more challenging course before meeting back up with everyone.
Bike Rentals:
Everyone is responsible for their own bikes. If you need to rent a bike I would recommend checking out San Francisco Bicycle Rentals (http://www.bikerentalsanfrancisco.com/) - this is also the location where we will kickoff from in the morning.I recommend the 'City Bike' or Hybrid. They also have performance bikes or even electric bikes available.
If you reserve online you'll get 20% off which makes the City Bike more reasonable. Reservations are also currently recommended due to popularity.
Weather: If it's raining or there are heavy winds we will postpone this event.
Parking: Don't do it. Take public transportation or a taxi service if you can. There IS parking in Fisherman's Wharf but it's either extremely hard or find or costs a bit for the day.

- Discuss 2025 Trips (San Diego, Japan, Iceland) - Online Zoom MeetingLink visible for attendees
Hey guys,
This is an event to discuss some potential group trips! We've had a lot of interest lately in hosting some domestic and international trips. This meetup is a chance to come and ask questions, receive information, and meet others with similar interests. We tried to do some last year but it didn't quite align so we'll give it another go this year!
We currently have 3 larger trips lined up for the 2025 year:
San Diego (late April)
Japan (late October - 2 packages available)
Iceland (Early November)We're also looking into hosting some shorter trips around the Bay Area:
Sacramento (TBD)
Petaluma - overnight with wine tasting + more (Early April)My friend Aaron and I will be collaborating with these trips. We both are weathered travelers with tons of experience exploring around the world.
Trips we've completed as a group in the past:
Japan (Spring 2023)
San Diego (pre-covid)
Seattle (pre-covid)
San Jose (pre-covid)We'll have plenty more information at this event but would like to see what level of serious interest there is.
Here is some more details about each of the trips and destinations:
San Diego - Weekend trip to San Diego to visit the beaches and popular nightlife around downtown. Typically a Thursday/Friday - Sunday.
Japan - 2 packages available to visit Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and other popular areas around Japan. Typically 10~18 days in Japan.
Iceland - This is in collaboration with the Icelandic Airwaves music festival. This trip will be November 6th-10th to attend the music festival.I'll update some more links regarding trip details as they are locked in.
Please only RSVP if you have serious interest in these events.
Thanks,
Arthur
