What we’re about
It's pretty straightforward. We're a group of people that like to RUN and have fun! Every Wednesday we meet at a different local bar throughout San Diego, go for a run, and finish back at the bar to cool down and socialize over drinks. If you're in your 21-30s (or just think you can hang) with a fun and outgoing personality looking to meet new people and explore San Diego, then come join us! Even if you show up late, the course will be chalked out on the sidewalk so you know where to go. All of our runs are mapped out on MapMyRun.com so you can follow along via their mobile app!
All running paces are welcome! We have enough people that runners of all paces have someone to run with! Our group consists of runners who are just starting out to people that have qualified for the Boston Marathon! Many of our runners have improved in both distance and pace since they started running with us! Whether you are new to San Diego, looking to meet new friends, or just want to escape the humdrum of everyday life, these Wednesday runs are a great way to unplug. It that time for SD fun run's favorite race! Every year for the 4th of July, Scripps Ranch puts on a Run/Ride. There are multiple events to choose from:
• 2 Mile Fun Run
• 10k Run Around Miramar Lake
• Either a 12 Mile, 22.5 Mile, or 35 Mile Bike RideIf you sign up for any of these events, you get free entrance to a beer garden at the finish line. This beer garden has unlimited (YES - UNLIMITED) free beers from local breweries.

This week we run in Miramar from AleSmith Brewing Company for a distance of 3.96 miles according to MapMyRun, you can download the app for Android or iPhone if you wish to follow along as you run.
I did my best to keep the route off busy streets, but I am not exactly familiar with that area so really make sure you pay attention to the chalk! This bar has been requested by Francis so wish her a happy birthday when you see her!
The general overview is, meet out front of AleSmith, run out to Miramar RD, take a left, run to Dowdy, take another left, then left onto Silverton. Turn right onto Trade, the right again onto Arjons. Follow that to Miralani where you take a left, then follow that to Camino Ruiz where you loop back on Miralani, follow that back to Arjons taking a right, then take a left onto Dowdy. From there we will either take a left onto a road with no name (if it is really a road) and then a right on Cabot, or keep on Dowdy. Then once we get back to Miramar take a right and follow that back to AleSmith!
