We meet at the fountain in front of the mission at 9:30 AM in the morning for the morning hike. These hikes are on the front country trails behind Santa Barbara and Montecito. Dress appropriately with hiking boots, comfortable clothes and bring at least a liter of water in your backpack or fanny pack. Bring sunscreen and bug repellant when necessary. The morning hike leaves at 9:30 AM SHARP and we get back between 11:30 AM and noon. There are no dogs allowed on the hikes for safety concerns. The hike is approximately 4 miles, 2 miles up and 2 miles back. These hikes are appropriate for beginners in good health. We will carpool to the hike from the mission. Our Santa Barbara Group has partnered with the Community Environmental Council and the Fearless Grandmothers. Together we are hosting Fridays forFuture the first Friday of every month in 2025.

We will gather with fellow activists, students, allies, community partners, and friends. Our goal is to create a gathering space where individuals can take collective action, get educated, and collaborate to protect our planet. These monthly gatherings will facilitate inspired grassroots action to combat climate change in quantifiable ways.

Our next gathering will be at the Community Environmental Council Hub. We will gather between 3:30-5pm on Friday, March 7.

We would love to have you and your friends join the gathering. We also welcome collaborative ideas for your involvement.

Dress appropriately with hiking boots, comfortable clothes and bring at least a liter of water in your backpack or fanny pack. Bring sunscreen and bug repellant when necessary. Bring a flashlight or headlamp for the night hikes. The evening hike leaves at 6:15 PM SHARP and we get back between 8:30 PM and nine. There are no dogs allowed for safety concerns. These hikes are approximately 4 miles, 2 miles up and 2 miles back and are appropriate for beginners in good health. We will carpool to the hike from the mission. Hello Friends and Fellow Activists, please drop in to CEC Environmental Hub on Tuesday, March 11 at 12pm for the Sierra Club Santa Barbara Group monthly gathering.
