What we’re about
Meet others interested in meditation near you! Learn how to meditate or deepen your current meditation practice. Our weekly meetings are on a drop in basis and we have a really nice group of people attending regularly. Please check out our message board to see our meditation topics in previous weeks.
A trademark of the meditations we emphasize is the ease in which they can be used both “on the cushion” and in our daily lives. Each meeting will include practical, guided meditation, and a talk on how to reduce stress and other problems encountered in daily life and how to increase mental and physical well-being. There will also be plenty of time to discuss the ideas presented.
Although the meditations and talks are based on Kadampa Buddhist philosophy, you don't need to be a Buddhist to enjoy this group. Kadampa Buddhism stresses a spiritual path of individual transformation and to look within ourselves for the inner peace and happiness we seek. Everyone is welcome!
These group meetings are based out of Kadampa Meditation Center New York, located in Glen Spey, NY. For more information visit http://www.kadampanewyork.org
We hope to meet you soon!

See all- Buddhist Meditation Class - Topic: Contagious generositySparta Train Station, Sparta, NJ
Current Series: Mastering Positive Habits of Mind
Tonight’s topic: Contagious generosityAs the seasons change, it’s time to thaw old patterns and ways of thinking. We can start thinking of how we want to begin again—and what positive habits we want to embody. Are there habits and thought patterns you’d like to change? Buddhist teachings can unravel negative ways of thinking about ourselves and others. You can change your life by changing your perspective. Through this series, we will investigate key ways to create new, healthy habits and how to use meditation to produce positive, lasting change from within. We will also explore habits of mind that keep us stuck, and learn how to uproot them. The classes will be simple, practical, and high-impact. Everyone welcome!

October 7 | Don’t believe everything you think
