Are you interested in finding an opportunity to make a difference in the community?
Are you interested in meeting others that have been making a difference? We are having a fundraiser to support Women's Mentoring Network where member of the community from all different backgrounds will be joining together for a great cause.
Women's Mentoring Network provides programs and services to low-income women and their families to help empower them to find better employment and educational opportunities. You can find out how to get involved with the many volunteer opportunities available.
Are you interested in becoming a mentor or presenting at a workshop to our clients? At the Life Skills Workshops, professionals from the community, including the corporations and other community organizations, present to our clients. The Strategic Life Skills Workshops are designed to empower and help participants with essential life skills to find better employment opportunities and fostering personal and professional growth.
Please join us Tuesday, October 29th. The Women's Mentoring Network Strategic Life Skills Workshop will take place from 12-1:30pm. Speaker, Pilar Illanes, will present an Introduction to Northstar Digital Literacy, a program that defines basic skills needed to perform tasks on computers and online. Online, self-guided modules assess the ability of individuals to perform basic computer digital literacy standards and modules in three main areas: Essential Computer Skills, Essential Software Skills and Using Technology in Daily Life.
The workshop will take place from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m., both in-person and online. Meet us in the Community Room at 141 Franklin St., Stamford CT, 2nd Floor. Lunch is served from 12 - 12:30 p.m. In-person attendees get a $10 Stop & Shop Gift Card. Hope to see you there!
