Wotton-under-Edge Walk - about 5 miles, following part of the Cotswold way, includes a hard climb through woods. Start point - St Mary The Virgin Parish Church O/S grid ref ST 760 934. Directions - leave the M5 at Junction 14. Take the B4509 east to Charfield Hill. B4058 to Wotton-under-Edge. Right turn at T-Junction downhill to war memorial. Left at war memorial roundabout. St Mary's church is on your right. Well-behaved dogs allowed, though must be on a lead while around livestock.

Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of The Worlds is back with a monumental headline show at The O2, taking place on Sunday 20 April 2025.

One of the most trailblazing arena tours of all time, Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of The War of The Worlds (TWOTW) returns with a musical spectacular like none other, with the production remaining a favourite to millions around the world, exciting audiences of all ages.

In 2006, TWOTW was already considered a cutting-edge production with six trucks filled to the brim. By 2025, marking 19 years of live touring, the production will be up to 12 trucks, with a host of new ingredients, a 35-foot Fighting Machine with its flame-firing Heat Ray and special effects to challenge and excite the senses.

Change of artist for this afternoons music, Jon Amor has been replaced with the Will Edmunds Trio, I haven't seen him before but he has had some great reviews, seeing there is interest I'll do the event anyway. Parking available in the station car park (pay) or limited off street parking nearby.
