About The Maker Station
The Maker Station Inc is home to a vibrant community of makers from the greater metro Atlanta regionServes the interstate corridor northwest of Atlanta, GA, including Smyrna, Vinings, Marietta, Kennesaw, Acworth, Woodstock and surrounding areas
The makerspace / hackerspace is a collaborative, shared workspace where curious and like-minded folks come together to work on projects, discover new areas of interest, develop a new business idea, or simply grow their personal hobbies.
The makerspace is a 100% volunteer driven 501c3 non-profit corp serving the interstate corridor northwest of Atlanta, GA. This includes Symrna, Marietta, Kennesaw, Acworth, and surrounding metro areas. We started our journey in 2014 to build a makerspace close to home and welcome all interested community members to help grow and shape this makerspace / hackerspace into a thriving, collaborative environment.

Working on a costume and stuck? Want to share your progress or just chat with others while working?
Come by The Makerstation and join us for this cosplay meetup! There are no skill or genre requirements, only the willingness to respect others and their work.
Rough Agenda:
- Sharing projects (Feel free to bring pieces!)
- Getting advice, and asking questions
- Collaboratively work on costumesThe meetup is open to non-members, but tool access is limited. If you're bringing something to work on, please be mindful of our shop rules.
This will be the first of the (hopefully) recurring meetup. Times or frequency may change as we forward as suits the group.

We started our journey in 2014 to build a makerspace close to home and welcome all interested community members to help grow and shape this makerspace into a thriving, collaborative environment. - 3D Printing 101The Maker Station, Marietta, GA
This will be a beginner class on 3D printing with a focus on FDM printers. We will start with a basic understanding of 3D printers you will learn about filament types and use cases for them. You will learn to change filament, clear clogged nozzles, and other skills, lastly a crash course in the slicer "software" cura.
