What we’re about

Since Ian K started Rebel Pedal's in January 2017 membership has grown from strength to strength with regular cycles during weekdays (evenings, days suited to shift workers), and longer weekend cycles to properly feel the burn while enjoying the scenery!

Our outings have gone on to include various weekends away around Ireland, national greenway routes, cycle challenges with charity fund raising (e.g 'Malin 2 Mizen' ), sportive cycles (Fort to Fort, Ring of Kerry, Dublin Bike Ride etc.) , Adventure Races, Hiking, cycle trips abroad (Camino). Basically any outdoor and curious activities, we are up for it!

We have a very friendly team of Event Organizers/Hosts who work well together. We organise 4 types of events: <br>'Roadrunners' - chasing personal bests even KOM's, love long distance hilly tours.<br>'Alpacas' -mid pace improvers, 21km/hr average with a few 40k's under belt and ready for tackling 80k+. <br>Leisure cycles - come one come all. No clock watching here but might bring a picnic to share (typically 25k, mostly flat). <br>Once off events - Mountain biking, sportives, hillwalking and social events.

Credit is due to all members who make the effort to RSVP and attend at events hosted here - we have an absolutely amazing group of helpful and friendly members who are not afraid to take on any hills. Simply keep spinning even if you have to use the granny gear! We offer encouragement and advice to all our members whatever your abilities and pace may be. Start with leisure cycles if it's been a while or you are new to cycling. Of course there will be coffee stops or quick rests to regroup along the way.

We look out for each other on the roads and practice safe cycling in a group. Please note event attendees are responsible for their own health and well being following safe cycling etiquette respectful to all path/road users.
