Come join us and explore new displays, new research and the jail that Dillinger found a way to escape from. Follow his footsteps to the garage where he stole his getaway car, and then take a picture with the car! We will gather in the courtroom in the Criminal Courts building next door where Dillinger learned he would be staying at the Lake County Jail, for speakers. Learn more about the jail and it's history with former guards telling their story of the jail officially shutting down in 1975 and seeing the restoration and preservation process and how the jail has become an important part of the Crown Point community and beyond.

This neighborhood street festival will open with a lion dance procession at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, a welcome at 12:30 p.m. on the main stage, followed by Asian performances, kung fu demonstrations, samplings from Chinatown’s restaurants & unique gift shops, arts & crafts exhibits, street vendors with an array of merchandise,
