What we’re about
Ours is a circle intended for fellow Southerners who love Southern Literature & Southern Culture. We will read certainly, William Faulkner's writings every year, and supplement them with Southern writers from the Past and the Present. It is intended for serious students of the Literature of the South and for fellow Southerners who just love Southern Culture and want to know more about our heritage.
I was a mentee of the Southern New Critic Cleanth Brooks, an original member of the great Southern Agrarians Circle. So, our society will honour that stream of literary reading of the South & its heritage.
