What we’re about
We are a group of friendly, outdoor enthusiasts who love getting out and about exploring the beautiful countryside of Scotland from the borders to the highlands.
We organise walks that suit all different levels of fitness and ability from easy grades to strenuous. Choose a walk that suits your capability. Then have a great time, enjoying some company in a safe and supportive environment.
Can we remind everyone that not turning up for trips that are restricted in numbers, or, not meeting someone that you have arranged to get a lift from is unacceptable. We will take steps to exclude persistent offenders.
If you plan on attending an event you only have to click on the “attending” button, only click on “not attending” if you have changed your mind and can no longer make the event.

See all- Sat 8 Feb - Ben Gullipen, Callander: B Grade Hill Walk, 8 miles. Refresh t legsDreadnought Hotel, Callander
Walk now Sat 8 February.
From Callander, this walk leads you upwards through a forest from around 60m above sea level and gradually up to the open hills at 414m. You should be prepared for a bit of a challenge but the path is good and we will walk at a social pace around 3kph as a B grade walk. A-Hard. B-Average. C-Easy.
The rewards then come in the breath-taking views from on height. Look to the south you will see the Wallace Monument near Stirling, then west to spot Loch Venachar and Ben Venue, north to see Ben Ledi, as well as the Munros Stuc a’Chroin and Ben Vorlich, and east over the rolling Menteith Hills. Weather looking good Saturday 28 Dec @10'C.
Grade: B - Medium pace walk. 3kph with breathers and photo opportunities along route.
Well behaved Dogs allowed but need to be on a lead at all times.
No smoking/vaping on route.
Length:13km / 8 miles.
Ascent: 414m. Pace: Medium - not slow.
Walking boots/clothing/gloves/water/lunch required for this walk.
I'll be leaving prompt at 11am. Car park £3 all day.If you're looking for a lift or can offer car lifts (mention were from etc) Please pop on messages as I do not arrange travel and busses are not reliable.
+1's will now have to become members so they have also read and understand the walk involved to rsvp.
Cancelling within 12 hours before walk will now be shown as a No Show so only rsvp if you are attending as unfair on those walkers who want to attend and planning last minute (if a waitlist) is unfair and on my time volunteering to see you safely do this walk.
We will be stopping for lunch at the top, so bring a wee snack to enjoy the views in good company.
Thanks
NorlynDisclaimer -
I reserve the right to remove people who have had no shows previously or a history of cancelling last minute and to add people onto the walk who I know will turn up (if waitlisted) No Shows will be noted on attendance as far to many people cancelling last minute and unfair on walkers who want to attend/make travel arrangements on rsvping.Health & Safety on walks ...
