Walking Adventures with Deb

Walking Adventures with Deb is a Meetup Group with the express intent of getting people together in the outdoors, to walk, socialize, and go on adventures on many of the trails both in Toronto and the surrounding areas, which are accessible via Go Train. <br>

Deb has long recorded and documented numerous walks that include off the path nature walks, art walks, and occasional museum walks. Recently she has added to the repertoire yoga in the park, and is always open to suggestions from members to help build this community. <br>

We are expressly open to new members and we take into consideration people who may have for personal or health reasons an aversion to having dogs with us on these walks. We sorely cannot accept members who want to have their dogs come with us as also these walks can last 2 to 3 hours at times at a moderate to leisurely pace depending on the activity. <br>

Please read the waiver below as part of our understanding of your desire to join Walking Adventures with Deb Meetup.

Walking Adventures with Deb, the Organisers, Event Hosts and Leaders assume ABSOLUTELY NO responsibility, including but not limited to injury or loss of any kind/form due to the use of information, or participating in activities found on this group/site.

By becoming the member/participant of Walking Adventures with Deb, Meetup Group or one of the Organisers, you agree to the terms and conditions of the group.

Acknowledgment of Member Responsibility, Express Assumption of Risk, and Release of Liability

By joining Walking Adventures with Deb Meetup Group:

I understand that during my participation in any Event or Activity organised by Walking Adventures with Deb Meetup Group, I may be exposed to risks including, but are not limited to, the dangers of serious personal injury, property damage, and death (“Injuries and Damages”).

I agree to WAIVE, DISCHARGE CLAIMS, AND RELEASE FROM LIABILITY the Walking Adventures With Deb Meetup Group, the Organisers, Event Hosts and Leaders from any and all liability on account of, or in any way resulting from Injuries and Damages, in any way connected with the Activity.

I further agree to HOLD HARMLESS the Walking Adventures with Deb Meetup Group, the Organisers, Event Hosts and Leaders from any claims, damages, injuries or losses caused by my own negligence while a participant on the Activity.

I understand and intend that this assumption of risk and release is binding upon my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, and includes any minors accompanying me on the Activity.

If I bring guest(s) to participate in the event, I take full responsibility for the guest(s) and agree to all above terms and conditions.

PHOTOS OF THE ACTIVITIES:

While participating in the group activities, your photo may be taken and be posted on the group website by the event organiser or other participant(s). We cannot control other people taking photos and uploading them onto the site but we can remove photos. It is your responsibility to inform others if you do not wish to be photographed and inform us if any of your photos need to be removed from the site.

I have read this document in its entirety and I freely and voluntarily assume all risks of such Injuries and Damages and notwithstanding such risks, I agree to participate in the Activity.

Please sign and date upon joining, this will be binding for all walks with our Meetup Group, the Organisers, Event Hosts and Leaders going forward.
